Mischa Barton Speaks Out About Her Recent DUI

Mischa Barton is finally coming out and talking about her December 27th DUI! And, of all people to talk to, she chose the tiny, yet considerate, Ryan Seacrest! People Magazine reports:

"Obviously I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case," Barton, 21, told Ryan Seacrest's L.A. radio show Thursday morning, about her DUI arrest. "I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect, and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."

The former O.C. actress was arrested for DUI in L.A. early the morning of Dec. 27.

"I was out with some friends and actually hadn't been driving earlier in the night, but I wanted to get my car home." Barton explained. "I can't really get into specifics. We've got the case coming up, and I'm not supposed to say anything about what happened. I was pulled over.""

Then, Mischa went on to say that the whole thing wasn't really her fault because her mother, Julie Cooper, never treated her the way she should have been, and for that, she drinks. I mean, it's been easier to deal with her troubles at home through her friendship with Seth Cohen and even moreso through her romantic relationship with Ryan Atwood even though he sort of is "The kid from the other side of the tracks" coming from Chino and all. Every once in a while though, Mischa strays from her stable circle of friends and makes big mistakes like this. But, I hear that Seth's Dad, Sandy Cohen, is a pretty good lawyer and she'll probably get her off of this charge with a slap on the wrist and some community service.

Oh wait, I just realized that Mischa Barton, in real life, isn't her fictional character from the O.C., Marissa Cooper, anymore. In fact, she hasn't even played her on TV for a few years now... now I'm embarassed. Mischa's a real person with real consequences to face in the real world! Ahh, well at least I'm not that confused anymore. But, ironically, I'm kind of sad. Going back into my own little O.C. world in my head brought back feelings of nostalgia. God I miss that show! Anyway, sorry... we'll be sure to keep you posted on how Mischa's criminal charges turn out!

SEACREST OUT!.. sorry, that was irrelevant. I've just always wanted to do that, and I thought Mischa's interview with Seacrest gave me a pretty good excuse.
