Nicole Richie officially gave birth to a child fathered by rocker Joel Madden this weekend! The two welcomed into their lives a 6 lb. 7 oz. baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. on Friday! People Magazine reports:
Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz.
"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," says the rep, who confirmed the birth to PEOPLE exclusively.
That's great, there's nothing like two new celebrity parents who are "ecstatic" about the birth of their child. Sure, given both Joel and Nicole's past, their excited state may or may not have been induced by obscenely large amounts of cocaine, but hey, they're parents now, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they're all grown up and really excited about bringing a child into the world. Despite their questionable pasts, however, I must admit that I'm happy for the couple. I mean, bringing life into the world is a beautiful thing, regardless of who you are! And that's just a good thing! Oh, okay, and there might be one other thing that I'm excited about: I'll won't have to see Nicole in a bikini with her pregnant stomach flopping around everywhere (shown here) for at least a little while now! Honestly, I can't express how happy I am about that. She looked like some sort of grotesque impregnated sea creature emerging out of the water, looking to kill anything that threatened it's unborn spawn. It was a scary sight... actually, it wasn't just scary... it was nightmarish, really!
