Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne Spears, have reunited! That's right, despite their feuds in the past and all of Britney's recent craziness, it seems that the two are trying to come together again. Us Magazine reports:
Along with pal Sam Lutfi, the two hit a Beverly Hills Mercedes-Benz dealership at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Looking solemn, the singer clutched a coffee cup and a Kabbalah book. (Later that day, Spears and Lutfi hit a J. Crew at L.A.'s Century City mall.)
Following months of estrangement, Spears' pal Sam Lutfi phoned Barbara Walters Monday, claiming that Spears and her mom were speaking again.
He also revealed that Spears suffers from "mental issues," Walters said, and "has been to a psychiatrist and ... I assume she is starting some kind of treatment.
"Her mother has been very supportive of whatever it is that Britney is trying to do," Walters said, quoting Lutfi."
You know what, I don't know why, but I'm gonna give Lynne Spears some sympathy here. Sure, Britney's craziness may or may not be the result of Lynne's God-awful parenting when Brit was a child... but can you just imagine how tough it is for her to see her daughter running around with different sleazy men and having mental breakdown after mental breakdown? That's just some crazy stuff... now it just seems like Lynne will do anything just be near her daughter. Hmm... BUT! Is Lynne just dealing with Britney's craziness so she can reap the benefit's of her troubled daughter's fame and fortune? Or, has Lynne suddenly had a change-of-heart? Seriously, Britney's life is like a poorly done Soap Opera. I just keep waiting for Susan Lucci to pop out of nowhere and try to stab her... only for Britney's long-lost cousin (named something weird like "Chadwick") to dive in front of Lucci's stabbing hand, and as he gasps for his last breath, he whipsers into Britney's ear that he's always loved her romantically, and it's okay, because he just found out he's adopted, and they were never biologically related. Yea, I could definitely see this happening. Keep an eye out on new Britney news, I have a hunch we might be in store for a little sopa opera-esque drama! BAAABBBYYYYY!
