The U.S. Embassy has ruled that Amy Winehouse cannot enter the United States to attend the Grammys Awards this Sunday. Although the singer is nominated for six Grammys, the embassy simply won't let her enter the country! OK! Magazine says:
The U.S. Embassy denied the troubled singer's request for a visa on Thursday, prohibiting her from attending the 50th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
‘"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," her rep said in a statement."
Well, that's too bad... the one good thing that Amy had going on in her life right now was the Grammys and her six nominations, but now, she'll have to stay in the UK on that glorious night and watch it on TV like the rest of us! I mean, I would say "I can't believe that they wouldn't let Amy Winehouse in the country"... you know, considering she's a Brit and they usually can come over here and hang out if they want... but considering that Amy is being questioned by police and may face drug possession charges because she was caught smoking crack on videotape not to long ago, it kind of makes sense that Amy can't get a visa to leave her home country right now. Maybe somehow they could smuggle her into the country though... they could just create a fake passport and put her through airport security... and if anyone has a problem with it, they could just tell them that she's rocker Steven Tyler... I mean, they look pretty much exactly the same. Or, if she can't shake the British accent for a disguise, they could just say she's Mick Jagger. I mean, she pretty much looks exactly like him too. So, either way, there might be hope for Amy after all!
