Amy Winehouse not only won 5 Grammys out of the 6 nominations she was up for last night, but she also performed via satellite from London during the Awards Show. Ahh, there's nothing like seeing a borderline anorexic crack addict singing some jazzy tunes and convulsively dancing on-stage (shown in the YouTube video above)! Just when I start almost feeling sorry for her... she goes and wins 5 Grammys. Even a crazy drug addict like Amy gets excited over something like that! She even said that she couldn't believe that she won so many awards! Specifically, Us Magazine reports that she said:
See, the irony there is that the shame isn't so much that she couldn't be in the United States to accept her awards... the same is that she's a talented singer (or at least that's what the experts tell me) and she smokes crack like it's her job! I would hope that winning five Grammys would help her get moving in the right direction, but I highly doubt she'll kick her drug habit. I mean, I can't even tell when she's high or when she's clean anymore, she's just a disheveled slurring mess all the time... it's crazy. How is that talent? And those little spastic dance movements she was doing... she looked some sort of injured bird trying to flap her wings without being able to lift off of the ground. Now that I think of it, she kind of just looks like some sort of ostrich anyway... and with that hair, maybe it's best to say that she looks like an ostrich who caught its head in a bee hive! Either way, I still can't believe someone as screwed up as her can be so successful... but hey I haven't accomplished half as much as she has... so what does that say about me!?
