Jessica Simpson is currently talking to Country Music Television (CMT) about the possibility of starting a new reality TV show starring Jessica! Although no contracts have been signed, it appears that this could really move forward and Jessica's fine body may just be shown in high definition on televisions across America sooner than we think! Specifically, Us Magazine says:
She is in talks with CMT to star in a reality show chronicling her life as she records her upcoming country album.
"We have had exploratory talks with Jessica's camp, but nothing has been confirmed or signed," a CMT rep tells Usmagazine.com.
Simpson, 27, rose to fame on her MTV reality series Newlyweds, which tracked her day-to-day married life with Nick Lachey.
"With Newlyweds, she let everyone into her world," her father Joe told Entertainment Weekly.
"Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here's a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all.""
First of all, I'm wondering how any of this is going to work out. Who wants to see a bubbly blonde pop-star with the IQ of a rock (or at least some sort of medium-sized stone) with cameras following her around all day throughout the course of her daily life? I really don't see what the appeal is there. Plus, just because Jessica is from Texas, it doesn't mean she's country. She's basically just a high-maintenance dumb blonde with an abnormally large bust size... do they really think they can just throw a cowboy hat on her and transform her mainstream, shallow, talentless pop personality into a real country singer? If so, I think the people over at CMT (Country Music Television) are sadly mistaken.
However, I have to admit, I'll probably still watch... eagerly hoping that one day, on one episode, just for a second, they show her in her daisy dukes and a cowboy hat riding a horse on some sort of old country ranch. Oh, and while they're at it, maybe she can be wearing a white t-shirt and she can pour a pitcher of ice-water all over herself while she's riding... oh, and on the ranch, there should be a lot of butterflies fluttering around and the video should be played in slow-motion with Michael Bolton's "When a Man Loves a Woman" playing in the background... oh, and midgets! You can't forget the midgets running alongside the horse... not too many, maybe just 40 or 50 midgets just running around singing along to Bolton's hit in unison with their high-pitched midget voices. Yea, so hopefully CMT can make that happen... if so, maybe this whole Jessica Simpson reality TV thing might actually work out!
