Although Salma Hayek loves her newborn daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault, she admits that she wanted a boy! The New York Post's Page Six says:
But now that she's here, I'm so happy she's a girl. And I can't imagine there ever being conflict between us, because I'm in a state of innocence where I love everything she does.""
Well, that's kind of tough for little Valentina... one day she'll be old enough to read celebrity news... and she's going to stumble across this and she's going to have some crazy identity crisis that only years of therapy can cure... I guarantee it. Because, just as much as Salma's right when she says women suffer more than men, what she failed to mention is that women are way more emotionally fragile than men as well. Knowing that, you would think Salma would be smart enough to keep her mouth shut and just say she wanted a girl... because I'm telling you, she's going to have dig pretty deep in her pockets to pay for a damn good therapist after making public statements like this.
Then again, Valentina's in better shape than I was... as soon as I learned to speak, my parents made it very clear to me that I was a mistake and that I wouldn't be getting any breaks in life. It's okay though, it's made me stronger... and after years of neglect and abuse, I really think it's made my relationship with my parents that much better... it gave us the space we needed, really!
