Because of all the weight changes Charlize Theron has had to undergo for her movie career, she sympathizes with dieters! OK! Magazine says:
But while her ups and downs have been purely career-driven, the Oscar winner, 32, empathizes with friends whose battles have been more personal. "I've been fascinated by people who lose a lot of weight"...
"There's this excitement and joy when they have gastric bypass surgery, and they actually truly believe that once they lose the weight all their problems will be solved," said the actress. She continued, "That's just not how life works. Once they lose the weight, they realize that, and that's why they go and gain the weight back.""
See, now, I don't know if it's because Charlize is from South Africa and she says words like "fascinating" to describe things all the time... but the way she said it in this context, it sounds like she sees dieters as some strange, foreign, astounding creatures who exhibit characteristics found nowhere else on Earth. Because of that, I just pictured Charlize dressed up like The Crocodile Hunter in the middle of Manhattan prowling around and sneaking up behind overweight people screaming out "Crikey! The North American dieter... look at the size of it... beautiful! So fascinating! Absolutely GOOOORRRGGEEOOOUS!"... Sure, that's a little ridiculous... but, just picture Charlize's legs in those short khaki crocodile hunter shorts... now that's gorgeous!
