Britney Spears' father, Jamie, wants his daughter to work in the sitcom business instead of music so she can stay out of trouble! The New York Post's Page Six says:
A Spears insider said, "Britney did a great job on 'How I Met Your Mother.' She got the show its highest ratings yet, but more importantly for Jamie, he wants his daughter at a normal 9-to-5 job to keep her working and out of trouble. A sitcom would do that."
You know what, I think big Jamie's right here. Nothing keeps you grounded and focused quite like a 9-5 job. I remember right after I graduated from college, my parents kept pressing me to get a normal 9-5 after I was unemployed for a few years just relaxing to recover from my crazy party nights at school. Unfortunately, one thing led to another and I spent a good portion of those years doing mind-expanding drugs with Gary Busey.
It was cool for a while, but I kind of got bored with it after a while. Plus, Gary kind of started weirding me out when he repeatedly kept saying something about how he planned to eat my soul for breakfast. That was a little odd, so I finally got that 9-5 job that my parents wanted me to get... and now, just a few years later, I'm a full-blown manager at Wal-Mart! Baaaabbbyyy! And who said dreams don't come true. Moral of the story here, Britney... listen to your daddy... he knows what you want... you just haven't realized it yet!
