Eva Mendes is out of rehab, feeling better, and taking some time off to take care of herself... which is a good thing, because she's one hot Latina baby carrot! People Magazine reports:
"The sun's out again. It's my time," she told PEOPLE on Tuesday at a luncheon co-hosted by Fresh Cosmetics and the new clothing line Rose at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
At the event, Mendes, 34, squeezed into a Rose-designed dress – which she described as "chic" and "a little edgy" – with the help of adhesive tape, joking, "I didn't want to take too much of a chance" on a wardrobe malfunction.
To maintain her sexy shape, she says, she's "sticking to my exercise regime," working out four days a week with trainer Harley Pasternak, doing cardio and light weights.
"I'm actually taking advantage of my time off," she says. "You know, I had a film that was pushed, so I'm home spending time with my family, going to the gym and actually enjoying taking care of myself .... This year has been great for me because I've learned how to relax. The last three years have been amazing but kind of crazy. So I don't know, I feel grounded. I feel really good.""
You know, I like Eva Mendes, and it pains me to see that she has to consciously struggle to get through the day. What could possibly be wrong with Eva? She has everything. She's rich, she's beautiful, she's famous... what is it!? What's missing? Is it love Eva!? Well, you know what, forget about abusing those substances and come over my way and "abuse" my body! I'll show you what real love is, baby! See, that sounds a little weird and creepy... but if I said that to you in person, you would see how jacked and tanned I am and you would eat that line right up, baby.
Oh, but before I go, one more thing... did Eva seriously say "The sun's out again. It's my time."? Yea, I think she did. How corny is that!? I didn't realize she was such a diva. That sounds like something an insecure transvestite would say after a bout of depression-inspired fits of substance abuse. I can picture him saying in his diva voice: "I'm sooo over that stage. The sun's out again. It's my time!" Ahh, as dramatic as it is though, it is beautiful. It's basically poetry for LIFE!
