An eyewitness says that Beyonce and Jay-Z were spotted getting a marriage license together yesterday morning! Could this finally be it!? A Jay-Z and Beyonce marriage!? People Magazine says:
Could their happiness be because the longtime couple is finally putting the constant wedding and split rumors to rest? Although a rep for Beyoncé, 26, had no comment and a rep for Jay-Z, 38, could not be reached, the courthouse trip is the first real indication that the pair – who first started dating in 2002 – will walk down the aisle."
Well, if it is true that these two are finally definitely getting married, congratulations to both of them... they're the king and queen of hip hop and R&B, respectively, so it's only natural. When I look at Jay-Z, though, I must confess, I can't help but thinking that could have been me. I mean, we both grew up in tough neighborhoods in big urban centers... okay, sub-urban in my case, but it's still got the word "urban" in it! Anyway, despite our common origins, Jay chose the path of gangster rap and I chose to pursue a degree in literature at a relatively respectable university. However, in my mind, we're both urban poets... and dammit, I deserve a hot R&B diva as much as he does! Damn this cruel life!!! I've suddenly grown distraught. I can continue no further. Excuse me.
