Petra Nemcova recently shared her thoughts about the abuse that poor young children endure in Cambodia because she basically just has a nack for being a hot supermodel and a philanthropist all at the same time! Specifically, OK! Magazine says:
"It makes me so angry," she recalls to OK!. "Girls and boys get sold as young as four-years-old and are put in animal cages. Some of them never see the light anymore. We met this girl who was 13 and a pimp made her lose her right eye. The words 'pimp' and 'child' should never be in the same sentence."
However, Petra was also able to see the positive efforts of the Somaly Mam Foundation, begun by former Cambodian sex worker Somaly Mam, which seeks to rescue women and girls in Southeast Asia from the horrors of a life in brothels or on the streets.
"Somaly has centers where she teaches them to sew," Petra explained at a recent fundraiser for the Foundation. "What she told me was that when the girls sew, you can see their emotion with the stitching. The fabric bears their feelings and love.""
Not only do I agree with all this humanitarian stuff that Petra's talking about here, but it also has caused me to fall in love with her. There's nothing sexier than a smokin' hot broad who actually wants to do good in the world. I do have one problem here though... although I agree that children should be loved and appreciated at all times in all places and in any possible circumstance in the world, I think Petra's wrong about one thing: the words "pimp" and "child" can be in the same sentence in given instances.
For instance, back when I was but a young child back in the fourth grade, I had so many little girlfriends, I dubbed myself "the pimp of the playground". And you know what, it was simply true... no one could deny it because if you went around during my 4th grade class' recess time, you would see more girls with little ring pops on their fingers given to them by yours truly than you would see scraped knees on the pavement. Back then, that was a lot of ring pops... and, sure, it ate up most of my allowance back then... but like they always say, even when you're a young guy in this world... "pimpin' aint easy"!!! Baaaabbbyyy!
