Sadly, it has recently been reported that Cameron Diaz's father, Emilio Diaz, died yesterday due to a severe case of Pneumonia at the far-too-young age of 58. Cameron has now relased the following statement to OK! Magazine expressing her appreciation from the love and support she and her family have received from her fans:
It's shocking that a man who is relatively young by today's standards can die from Pneumonia. Clearly it is a terrible tragedy that has been endured by Cameron and her family. I would just like to take a moment to express that our thoughts and concerns here, which are very often turned against many celebrities, have been humbly turned over to the support of Cameron and her family. We will keep you informed with any new developments that may arise with respect to the sudden and tragic death of Emilio Diaz.
