Ashlee Simpson's Dad and manager, Joe Simpson, is trying to sell her unborn baby to the tabloids for $1 Million dollars, but he keeps getting considerably lower offers! The New York Post's Page Six says:
A magazine source said, "Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pony up $1 million to put Ashlee on the cover." The news broke this week that Jessica's younger sibling is pregnant with her now-fiancée Pete Wentz's child - a claim Wentz has backed off denying.
"The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it," our source said.
Sadly, there is some interest - but not for anything close to $1 million.
One magazine editor said the pictures would fetch "$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album ['Bittersweet World'] is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant, frankly.""
Wow, these celebrity managers are getting like crack dealers with these unborn babies. I hear the tabloid-market street value of a big name celebrity's kid can range anywhere from $1 million to $10 million for a cover shoot. Apparently the best Ashlee's fetus could do was about 60 grand. HAHAHA! You suck Ashlee! Nobody wants to see the spawn of your pre-marital relations! It's probably because most people assume that it will come out looking funny. You know, with a normal baby body only with your huge pterodactyl-looking face glued to its neck. The American public doesn't need to see that stuff!
Although, when you think about it, 60 grand is nothing for a celebrity, but it's really good for a normal person. After some thought, I'd probably let Pete Wentz impregnate me for 60 grand. What!? I've been a little short on cash lately... just because the economy's bad, does that mean that you expect me to leave all of my Eliot Spitzer style call-girls behind?
