Scarlett Johansson was out showing off her white diamond engagement ring from Ryan Reynolds last night! Us Magazine says:
Wearing an ivory D&G dress, the actress, 23, was escorted by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. (Reynolds, 31, was in Boston filming the aptly titled comedy The Proposal.)
On her way to the bash, she hugged Aussie actress Naomi Watts, who couldn't help but notice Johansson's glow."
Yep, so Scarlett finally got a nice big rock from Ryan Reynolds. See, me, with my first (now ex) wife, I gave her a really big ring too. The only problem was that it was probably a little too big (it was about the size of a golf ball) and my wife at the time, despite being as dumb as nails generally, had enough sense to suspect that it was a fake. Then, when she finally called me out on it, I lied and tried to say that it was some sort of rare jewel that historians say was lost long ago, and that it wasn't cubic zirconium as she expected! Surprisingly, that actually worked for a minute... but when she asked me what the name of the "lost stone" was... I said it was startled and "tyrannosaurus rex" was the best I could come up with.
At that point, she figured out I was lying and was pretty ticked off... but when I told her I would make it up to her by taking to her Denny's that morning for a "grand slam" breakfast... she forgave me. And, believe it or not, that was the start of a short-lived, yet surprisingly happy marriage. Unfortunately, a couple years later she drew the line with the booze and hookers! Dammit! It's the little things in life, you know!
