Despite wanting to keep the identity of her unborn child's father a secret, Minnie Driver is now hinting at who it might be! People Magazine reports:
First off, it's not the man, San Francisco musician Craig Zolezzi, who's been named in several press reports.
"Craig's not the dad!" the 6-months-pregnant star told the U.K.'s Independent Thursday. "He's my great friend and he's been so cool about it."
So who is it? The British-born Riches star – who is in the U.K. promoting her second album, Seastories – will only say that he's English and "sort of in the same business." (She also revealed that they have no plans to marry in the "near future.")"
She also said that she wants to keep the mystery going as long as she can because the baby was a mistake and she doesn't want the daddy to deal with all the unexpected publicity. Too blunt? Maybe. But People further reports that Minnie said:
You know, sometimes celebrities just don't think. I mean, did Minnie not realize what this public quote means!? She's basically saying the kid's an unwanted mistake, but she'll love it anyway because it's her kid and that's what she's forced to do as a mother! Doesn't she realize that the kid in 10 years can easily google what its famous mommy said about it in the years past? This kid is going to have some serious mental problems!
But then again, I guess it's better than the parents saying we wanted a kid but we're disappointed with what came out... that's basically the reverse of Minnie's problem here. A terrible feeling comes over you when that happens. Trust me, I know from experience... eh hem... eh hem... (nervously clearing throat)... now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pretend this single tear isn't streaming down my face and I'm gonna go have a burger... Not just because it's comfort food, but also because it makes me feel more manly than I would if I just let my kind, fragile soul run its natural course!
