UPDATE: Hogan's Passenger, a U.S. Marine, in Serious Condition

Nick Hogan John Graziano

The St. Petersburg Times reaffirms speculation that Nick Hogan's recent crash may have been caused by racing a silver Dodge Viper. Excessive speeds in combination with slick roads due to scattered summer showers may have caused Nick to lose control of the vehicle.

Witness say:

"We knew something was going to happen... You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging."

New information has been revealed about who Hogan's 22-year-old friend and passenger at the time, John Graziano, really is.

The St. Petersburg time reports that Graziano is a marine who has already served two terms of duty in Iraq but has been home since October.

Graziano, who is said to be into "anything that gives an adrenaline rush," is currently listed to be in "very serious condition." This is no change from his original listed condition at the hospital.

TMZ reports that Nick Hogan could be facing serious legal consequences when all of this is said and done. TMZ says:

"God forbid -- worst case scenario, Nick Hogan could face charges of gross vehicular manslaughter, if there's proof that alcohol, excessive speeding or drag racing were involved. The maximum sentence is 15 years in prison."

At this moment, it is believed that although excessive speeds may have been reached, it does not appear that alcohol was involved.

We're all hoping that the accident does not prove to be such a tragedy for all of the families involved.
