It has just been announced that TV reality show hosts are now eligible to win Emmy awards. That means that guys like Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron, and Jeff Probst, among others, are going head-to-head to win an Emmy for best reality show host! People Magazine reports:
The TV Academy got a birthday cake for its 60th birthday Thursday morning – while American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, Project Runway's Heidi Klum and Dancing With the Stars' Tom Bergeron, as well as Deal or No Deal's Howie Mandel and Survivor's Jeff Probst, all got nominations in the first-time ever category of top host for a reality-competition show.
While Deal or No Deal and Survivor both failed to earn nods as best reality-competition show, all the other programs did, along with Top Chef and Amazing Race."

So Ryan Seacrest, Heidi Klum, Tom Bergeron, Howie Mandel, and Jeff Probst all have the chance to win an Emmy award just for standing there and basically talking for an hour or two during their reality shows. Wow, seriously, don't they seem a little unaccomplished in their respective roles to be going around winning Emmys!? Except for Seacrest, of course, because he's so dreamy, he could win anything this world has to offer and I'd be okay with it!
