Britney Spears showed up at Jenny McCarthy’s Generation Rescue Charity Event this past Saturday, and as you can tell from the picture above, Spears was looking good. Maybe not “2001 Britney” good, but hey, it’s 2008, we’ll take what we can get. At least this Britney Spears you could hook up with without having to visualize the “I’m a Slave 4 U” video for motivation.
Generation Rescue is a charity that battles autism. Other famous attendees included Jim Carrey and Charlie Sheen. Britney’s appearance was a surprise, and guests told US Magazine she looked “happy” and was “clapping and smiling a lot.”
This was Spears’ first public appearance since her custody agreement with Kevin Federline last week. Federline won custody of the children, but Spears gained visitation rights, including two overnight visits a week. Unfortunately, the nights are Monday and Wednesday. Wednesday is dollar shots at TGI Friday’s, so that’s definitely out. Which leaves only Monday. And with “Heroes” coming back on the air soon, well, I just don’t think this is going to work out. Oh well, better luck with the next kid.
