Blake Fielder-Civil, better known as the crazy guy who’s married to Amy Winehouse, was sentenced to 27 months in prison today. Fielder-Civil was arrested after a 2006 bar brawl in which he beat up a pub manager, then tried to bribe the guy to keep quiet.
Fielder-Civil has already spent the past 9 months in jail, and with good behavior he could be out in as little as 4 1/2 months from now.
Winehouse did not attend the hearing. According to the Daily Mail, the judge told Fielder-Civil that his behavior was “gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful” before sentencing him.
So if you’re sitting at home asking yourself, “is Blake Fielder-Civil famous?,” you now have your answer: “No.” Famous people don’t go to jail for more than 3 hours. Just look at Amy Winehouse. She’s smoking crack all day and acting crazy (as evidenced in the pictures below), and yet she’s allowed to roam free. That, my friends, is a real celebrity. Shoulda had a hit single, Blake.
