Miley Cyrus’ photo spread in the June issue of Vanity Fair caused quite a stir when the pictures were leaked online awhile back. The photos aren’t even that racy -- she looks more like a zombie than a Lolita -- but because Miley is 15-years old, it led to some major controversy.
In an interview with “Good Morning America” earlier today, Cyrus called the photos a mistake and said that her goal was to attract an older audience.
At times like these, I think it’s important to remember that all teenagers are idiots, even the smart ones. If someone tells a teenager to pose for a picture, they’re going to do it. I have a prom picture where I’m sitting on a tire swing holding hands with my date. You think that was my idea? Come on. If I could go back in time and trade it for a picture of me in nothing but a bed sheet, you better believe I’d take that deal in a second.
If she weren’t famous, Miley Cyrus would be a sophomore in high school. Remember that. Sure she’s Hannah Montana, but with a couple twists of fate she could easily have been at a pool party right now, stalking a guy from her algebra class on MySpace and talking about how Rihanna is her hero.
So, you 435,000 people who bought the June Vanity Fair, stop checking out underage girls.
