A couple of weeks ago, while filming Oliver Stone’s George W. Bush biopic “W,” actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright were arrested during a bar brawl in Shreveport, Louisiana. The actors were impeding police as the cops attempted to break up the fight. Wright was tasered and both actors were pepper sprayed. Four crew members were also arrested in the incident.
Yesterday, Brolin made his first public appearance since the arrest, attending the premiere of “Frozen River” in Los Angeles. However, when approached by the media, he quickly walked away, saying only this:
These guys were filming an anti-George Bush movie in the South, which seems like it could cause some fights, but we can’t automatically assume that’s what started the brawl. They could’ve said the LSU Tigers suck, or that girls should wait until they’re 18 to get pregnant. Either of those things can earn you a beat down in Louisiana.
