Matthew McConaughey and his extremely hot girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed son Levi Alves McConaughey into the world on July 7th. Now it’s July 23rd and Levi is already getting his first press opp.
The McConaughey family is featured on the cover of the latest OK! Magazine (pictured). In the article, McConaughey gives some very interesting quotes about the delivery process:
Matthew adds, "I've pulled out some baby pictures of myself, and the resemblance is amazing. This kid has a lot to learn from us. I want him to come out being a little wiser, a little cooler and a little happier than we are."
"I have it all chronicled," he explained. "We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let's go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We'd been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, 'Let's handle this… let's stay in the rhythm.”
Wait, was he having a child or jamming with Phish? Actually, I’m not sure why I made that an either/or statement; he could’ve been doing both at the same time. Chances are he was.
In case you’re wondering, Levi is named after the pair of jeans McConaughey was wearing at the time of the birth. He was going to name the kid after his shirt, but it turns out he had never actually worn a shirt until he took the picture for the OK! Magazine cover. Alright, I kinda made that up, but it could be true. Surprisingly, Levi is one of the more normal names a celebrity has ever given to a child. At least people have heard of the name Levi before. Usually celebrities name their kids after a fruit or a constellation or a cough medicine or something equally random.
