Hulk Hogan is currently separated from his wife Linda, with an official divorce on the horizon. When the couple split after 24 years of marriage, there were rumors they were trying to protect their assets after son Nick was in a car accident that left his friend in a coma. A divorce would limit the amount the Hogans were vulnerable to lose when the friend’s family sued.
Hulk insists the divorce is no act. In an interview with Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos, he says:
“For me to be able to handle… my 50-year-old wife sleeping in a bed with a 19-year-old boyfriend and using my gym, and driving my cars, and living in my house. I guess we’ve got a pretty good act going on ‘cause that’s a lot to take on,” Hulk said."
He makes a good point. Would any husband on Earth would say, “Honey, we can save $5 million if you just have sex with a 19-year old and make a mockery out of our marriage on national TV!?” Actually, don’t answer that.
Hulk continued:
“We’d had problems over the last ten years but you know, I thought that when you put your hand on the Bible, you know until death do us part and for better or worse, I thought people really meant that when they said it,” he admitted."
I hear ya, Hulkster. I hate all these couples who get divorced just because it’s the trendy thing to do. They see their friends getting divorced, or they feel pressure from their parents and society, or refuse to bend from some ridiculous 5-year plan, and they get divorced even though they’re too immature and not ready for that kind of commitment. It really makes a mockery out of the whole institution of divorce.
