Last week, Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and her father Carl were involved in an airport brawl with the family of Bianca Golden, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model. Nikki, Carl and Bianca were all arrested and charged with various degrees of assault.
Original reports claimed the fight started when the Blonsky family refused to give up “saved” seats to the Golden family. Now, to make a bad incident worse, the New York Post is reporting that there may have been some racial epithets uttered before the brawl.
"Bianca sat and listened and tried to ignore it until it got too much for her, and then she told Nikki to shut her mouth," Williams said.
But a source claims the racial invective began when a member of Golden's group proclaimed: "I don't want to sit next to any white b**ch."
It did seem unusual that a physical altercation would break out because of someone trying to save seats. I don’t know whether this story is true, but I sure hope not. You should never bring race into the equation when it’s not necessary. I mean just look at how it caused this brawl. Two seemingly normal families are having an argument, and then suddenly one family is throwing punches and the other is biting people. And isn’t it weird how they used different fighting techniques? White people, they be fighting like this, but black people, they be fighting LIKE THIS!
