Billy Ray Cyrus is, as you probably know, the father of pop sensation Miley Cyrus. He’s also the man behind the greatest mullet in history, but that’s neither here nor there. Billy Ray has seen his daughter get herself in a lot of trouble lately, and has decided to start issue warnings to anyone that further tempts her toward the dark side.
The first person to get a warning from Billy Ray is pop singer/songwriting Jesse McCartney. Though McCartney is 21 and Miley is only 15, apparently the two are constantly flirting and it’s driving Billy Ray crazy. From Star:
"Jesse’s told Billy Ray that he’s willing to start out by having a chaperone of his choice around," the pal adds. "But that’s not good enough for Billy Ray."
I’m not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure a 21-year old guy with a 15-year old girl counts as statutory, even in Tennessee. I find it hard to believe Jesse McCartney is interested. I know Hannah Montana is worth a few billion but McCartney is pretty rich himself, and has been linked to hot of-age girls like Aubrey O’Day. Aubrey O’Day for Miley Cyrus and jail time is not a good trade.
Isn’t it sad that so many famous people are terrible role models yet the guy who sang “Achey Breaky Heart” has got his head on straight? The funniest thing about Billy Ray is, if you watch him on “Nashville Star” (the recently-concluded talent show he hosted), he always gives out not-very-subliminal warnings to the young female singers. One time a girl who was like 16 said, “I want to be a famous singer!,” and Cyrus just shook his head and was like, “please don’t say that.” Those are the words of a man who has seen way too many pictures of his daughter in her underwear. By the time Miley does Playboy in ten years, I think Billy Ray will have actually been diagnosed with an achey breaky heart.
