After Shia LaBeouf’s drunk driving accident a couple weeks ago, the actor was taken to the hospital for extensive hand surgery. LaBeouf was later photographed walking around in a cast. Now, Star Magazine is reporting that the actor might have to have his pinky amputated.
The young star, now working on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is likely to lose the pinky on his left hand, a source on the movie set says.
"Shia called producers yesterday and told them," the source on the set in Alamogordo, N.M. says. "It's really thrown the movie into turmoil."
However, other sites tell a different story. From Celebitchy:
Production on Transformers 2 was delayed in order to give LaBeouf time to heal, then director Michael Bay decided to write Shia’s injury into the script. Makes sense. It’s not like “Transformers 1” had a plot, but people still loved it, so who’s going to care if “Transformers 2” has a new subplot where Shia LaBeouf’s cast can magically block gamma rays from a giant tank robot?
On a related note, since “Transformers 2” is going to be such a blockbuster, maybe it’s time we gave the movie a shorter, catchier nickname. Like say, “T2.” Also, Shia LaBeouf’s name is really hard to spell, so I think we should call him something else simpler, like, oh I don’t know, “Arnold.” Wouldn’t that be easier?
I’ll tell you what, I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to see Arnold in “T2.” It’s going to be great. I have a feeling it will be the greatest action performance since Arnold in “T2.” That’s Arnold Schwartzenegger in “Terminator 2,” not Shia LaBeouf in “Transformers 2.” You know, on second thought, maybe these nicknames were a bad idea, I’m sorry.
