Since being together for more than three whole years, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have spent very little time apart. However, the two spent the weekend apart while Katie was in New York preparing for her Broadway show and Tom was back in Cali at a Scientologist dinner. OK! Magazine says:
Of course, neither of them are alone — Katie has two-year-old daughter Suri to keep her company, and Tom's got his pals at the Church of Scientology.
On Saturday night, Tom attended the $500 a plate Anniversary Gala at the church's Celebrity Center in L.A. The annual event is held on the rooftop of the building and, in addition to the Mission: Impossible star, often brings in a whole host of A-list Scientologists like John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston."
It figures that the only thing that will keep Tom Cruise happy while his wife leaves his totalitarian stronghold is a $500 per plate dinner in honor of his precious Scientology. While there, not only does he get to enjoy some serious tasty treats, but he also gets to spend some quality time with John Travolta as the two chat into the late hours of the night about religious doctrine as Tom stares deep into John's massive forehead like a little school boy who is struggling to hide his secret crush. Ahh, Tom, you're such a romantic!
