Madonna is denying allegations that another adoption is underway to acquire a girl from Malawi. You can probably guess where Malawi is if you didn't already know.
USMagazine.com states:
A report that Madonna is adopting a three-year-old girl, Mercy James, from Malawi is not true, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
"Madonna has not made an attempt to adopt this baby earlier this year or now," Liz Rosenberg tells Us.
Rosenberg also confirmed to Us what she told CelebTV.com: "There is no truth to this rumor. It's an old one - wasn't true then or now. Madonna is starting her tour in a week."
Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe had told Britain's Sun: "Madonna's representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced — all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities.
"Then Mercy will be able to leave the country for a new life," he added.

The Malawian adoption minister is my new best friend. He just makes shit up and doesn't care, which is awesome. It's like sometimes I'll just go up to my dad and be like, "Hey dad, mom just fell down the steps and split her skull open. She'll be dead in 4 minutes without medical attention." After watching him rejoice for about 30 seconds, I break the news that mom's still in her chair and still eating donuts. It's awesome, just like my Malawian adoption minister friend.
