Scarlett Johansson visited Rwanda to check out the AIDS situation. According to People's report:
"It was important for me to come here and see the issues we're up against firsthand," Johansson says in a statement. "I came here with an open mind, wanting to listen, understand and learn; I leave with the overwhelming understanding that the small action of making a (RED) choice in your purchases ... has an enormous impact on the lives of people in countries like Rwanda."
Fighting AIDS through business and consumer power seems strange. You wanna know how I prevent AIDS? I don't have sex with other people with AIDS. Really, it's that easy.
It is, however, always nice when someone rich and famous shows, or at least pretends, that they care. She could be in her mansion, bouncing bowling balls off of Ryan Reynolds' abs, but instead, she's in Rwanda making sure she has no open cuts as she checks out the situation. Good girl. So good that here are some pictures of Scarlett when she was just 17 years old.
