The inevitable hooking up of Natalie Portman and myself took an interesting turn yesterday when she and Devendra Banhart (loser) broke up according to US:
Actress Natalie Portman and singer Devendra Banhart have broken up, a source close to the couple confirms to Usmagazine.com.
"Things just weren't working out," a Portman source tells Us. "Natalie is young and they just were very different ultimately.
"She's really a free spirit," the source adds. "She's complicated because she's very serious about her career and smart but also artistic and free-thinking. It's tough to match."

I like how the "source" pretty much says Natalie is a better, cooler, smarter person than Devendra. He's right, but still, it's a little mean.
After writing about all of these break-ups for the last several months, I've realized how great it is that my relationships aren't in the public eye.
