Alan Panettiere faces up to a year in a Los Angeles County jail if convicted. He was arrested on Aug. 11 on suspicion of striking his wife, Lesley.
At the time, a sheriff's spokesman said Panettiere was accused of hitting his wife three times with an open hand. The 49-year-old was later released on $50,000 bail after the arrest. His arraignment will be held in October at a Beverly Hills courthouse.

I feel bad for Alan. It's tough being the father of a multi-million dollar actress daughter. Sitting on your ass doing absolutely nothing while she makes your family enough money to buy a jet custom painted like your favorite football team is tough business. You pretty much have to hit your wife to relieve the stress.
Now that Hayden is without a father, kinda, I would like to fill that spot. Sure I'm only about 8 years older than her, but stranger things have happened. Like tasting your own semen. Not the greatest idea.
