Seeing how most news about Lindsay Lohan isn't always that good, I just wanted to take a moment and reflect how far she's come. Since her drug problems, DUIs, and numerous failed rehab attempts, people may have given up on Lindsay. And, you know what, there was a time I almost gave up on her too.
But, now, clearly she's put some work in to get herself back to where she was and seeing these pictures of in a very short, leggy dress last night at the Sephora 10 Year Anniversary just proves that she's still got it. Salma Hayek's rep has confirmed that she has called of her engagement with French billionaire and father of her child Francois-Henri Pinault (shown above). Us Magazine reports:
Salma Hayek and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault the father of her daughter Valentina have called off their engagement.
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled," Hayek's rep said in a statement to USA Today. "There will be no further comment."
Well that's kind of random and abrupt. Salma had always said that she never felt the "need" to get married, but it looked like she at the very least "wanted" to get married at some point. Now poor Francois-Henri Pinault will be showing up to his own wedding alone! Well, okay, maybe I'm just saying that for effect. I'm assuming he probably won't show up at all. But you get the idea! Recent rumors claiming that John Mayer may have actually cheated on Jennifer Aniston with a fan have been vehemently denied by the fan herself! Us Magazine reports:
The woman who In Touch claimed was hit on by John Mayer during the time hes been linked to Jennifer Aniston tearfully told Usmagazine.com that the story "is completely not true" and she's considering legal action against the magazine.
The magazine claims in a story titled "Jen's Betrayed Again" that Mayer, 30, got "very flirty" with Chaton Anderson, 32, in Amsterdam on June 20. The magazine reports that Mayer described his "relationship status" as "very vague" and that he maintained "very intense" eye-contact during a two-hour conversation.
"None of this is true," Anderson told Us from her home in Manhattan Beach, CA on Wednesday.
"I met John Mayer almost a year ago," she explained. "I don't understand why they've said it was this year.
"Nothing happened anyway nothing at all," she added. "I just met him briefly and he said, 'Hello, I'm John,' and that was it! It was just groups of people in a coffee shop."
Wow, rarely do you see a woman come forward and start crying about how a man actually did nothing wrong and trying to set the record straight! I admire this woman for doing the right thing. She easily could have flattered herself and let this thing blow up into a huge thing, but she didn't and that's cool. I think part of her kindness probably came from the fact that John Mayer is actually perceived as a somewhat down-to-earth regular guy. Now he can continue doing what he does with Jennifer Aniston! Lindsay Lohan is going to make another appearance as a guest star on Ugly Betty! OK! Magazine reports:
[Lindsay Lohan] is returning to Ugly Betty as Kimberly, Betty's high school nemesis, next week to shoot her ongoing guest stint for the show's third season, premiering Sept. 25 on ABC.
[Executive Producer Silvio Horta] admits that one of the reasons he cast Lindsay, who approached him for a role, was because he was fascinated by the headlining starlet.
"Lindsay brings a reputation, but I've always loved her," he says. "I just wanted to meet her, to be in a room with her and see what this is all about."
He says he recognizes that Lindsay has dealt with her past demons. "She fell into whatever the typical traps of stardom [are], " he says. "I think this is a real great opportunity for her. I'm really excited."
Sure, that's right, and along with Lindsay's "opportunity" on Ugly Betty comes great ratings for the show because everyone follows what Lindsay's doing even when she's just going to the bathroom, nevermind making a guest appearance on a hit TV show! But, hey, I have to admit, when this episode comes out, I'll be watching! I can't get enough Lindsay! Despite all of her problems, she's still pretty hot and I like that about her!

Former O.C. star, Mischa Barton has recently expressed regret about her recent criminal charges for her DUI back in December, telling Nylon Magazine that her DUI was a "low point" in her life. People Magazine says:
Mischa Barton says she thought getting arrested for drunken driving was something that happened to another type of Hollywood celebrity, not her.
"That was a low point for me. I never, ever would have thought I would be arrested," she says in the August issue of Nylon of the December incident. "I was disappointed because it associated me with a group of girls that I would rather not be associated with."
Now living in Paris, the former O.C. star pleaded no contest to drunken driving in April and was sentenced to three years probation."
Wait a minute, so that DUI incident was just a sudden lapse of judgment!? It wasn't an indication that Mischa Barton's whole life was unwraveling before her eyes in an uncontrollable slippery slope that leads to drug abuse and public humiliation like a Paris Hilton type. Now she's moved to Paris and living a quiet life. Ahh, that's so much less interesting! Frankly, I'm disappointed in you, Mischa, I thought you had so much more in you!
