In light of yesterday's events, some people thought it would be hilarious to spread the rumor that Jeff Goldblum died, too. And it was pretty funny, but entirely untrue. AFP reports:
New Zealand police have denied rumours which spread via social websites that actor Jeff Goldblum had died in a fall while making a film in the country.
Police said they had been inundated with media calls after entertainment websites carried the rumour which was also spread through networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
One Twitter post read: "Los Angeles in shock with sad strange trifecta of Michael Jackson, Jeff Goldblum and Farrah Fawcett," referring to the deaths on Thursday of the pop star and the former television actress.

Obviously a cheap trick by Jeff to get some publicity. He's never been the same since Jurassic Park. Ok, that's a lie, but I could see someone like Kim Kardashian doing this. You know, the type that would hack their grandmother to bits in here sleep for an extra 15 minutes of fame.
