I really don't have any idea why there's a push for Brad Pitt to run for mayor of New Orleans, but there apparently is. Too bad it's impossible considering you have to live there for 5 years in order to be eligible and he's lived there for, oh I don't know, somewhere around 0 years. AP reports:

Pitt told NBC's "Today" show on Thursday that he has seen the "Brad Pitt for Mayor" T-shirts that many New Orleans residents have been sporting for at least two months.
But when asked if he has considered running, Pitt said, "I don't have a chance."

If this is how we're going to be, I'm making it known right now that I'd like Neil Patrick Harris to run for city councilman in my town. It pays about $4,000 per year but the respect you get around town is uncanny. Like our current one walked into a Family Dollar yesterday and three people said hi. One of them wasn't even retarded..
