David Letterman Case: The Other Side

Since I'm a fair guy who never jumps to conclusions or stereotypes except pretty much every time I see another human or read an article, I figured it would be fair to share the other side of the David Letterman extortion case. According to AP:

Attorney Gerald Shargel defended Robert J. "Joe" Halderman on Monday during a round of interviews on network television morning shows.

Shargel says the charge against his client is "so obviously out of character to the point of not making any sense."

He says that Letterman manipulates audiences for a living and that to think he "gave the entire story and there's nothing more to be said is simply wrong."

Since I've always hated David Letterman both because of his weird teeth and my undying love for Jay Leno and his chin, I think I'm going to go ahead and take the extortionist's side on this one. David Letterman clearly twisted it from simply a request for $2 million to a big, bad case of EXTORTION. What a drama queen.
