I thought this was funny. Some crappy college called Quinnipiac University routinely places its students as interns on the Late Show, but now that David Letterman slept with one of them several years ago, they're stepping it up like a good parent. Sources say:
A Connecticut college has initiated a new program to keep David Letterman interns at arms length from the host.
A rep from Quinnipiac University tells TMZ:
"Due to recent circumstances we will have a discussion with those in charge of placing our interns at the David Letterman show in the future.
We will diligently oversee this internship program to ensure that our interns are out of harm's way."

Out of harm's way? Seriously, I realize sleeping with Letterman is disgusting on multiple levels, but it's not like he rapes and pillages everyone backstage every night. These are college-aged people, not little kids. Let them decide for themselves if they think Letterman is totally irresistible.
