Taylor Swift Wins Entertainer of the Year

Taylor Swift won a whole bunch of awards at the Country Music Awards last night, but don't worry, there were no signs of Kanye West because country musicians have a strict "no blacks" policy. Of course I'm lying about that, I think it got overturned last year because Darius Rucker seems to be making country music now. But anyway, back to Taylor. According to the AP

Swift quickly shed her opener status and shook up the music world with an incredible year that included the best-selling album, a concert tour that sold out almost immediately and, now, a historic night at the CMAs that included becoming the youngest winner of the association's highest honor.

The CMA's more than 5,000 members — often cited as a conservative bunch — seemed as taken with Swift as the rest of the music world has been. She won all four awards for which she was nominated, snapping Kenny Chesney's streak of four entertainer wins in the last five years and Carrie Underwood's three-year run as top female vocalist.

Normally, I would start making fun of her considering she's 6' tall 85 pounds and sings country music, but I saw her on SNL last weekend...and she was actually pretty funny. So good job, Taylor! Maybe celebrate with an M&M or two.
