Simon Cowell has decided to leave American Idol after this season, presumably because Ellen Degeneres joined the judges this year and he doesn't like lesbians. But probably not. Anyway, here's the story:
Cowell just announced this will be his last season on "American Idol" -- and that he's leaving the show to be a judge and executive producer on FOX's upcoming American version of "The X Factor" ... the British talent show that launched Leona Lewis' career.

So the question is, do they cancel American Idol, continue on with Ellen, Randy and Kara, or try to replace Simon with some other angry critic? I personally think they should replace him with an angry Chinese man who doesn't know anything about music. Every time it gets to him, he just yells in Chinese. I'd watch every week.
