Roman Polanski, who is still awaiting a Swiss court's ruling as to whether he'll be extradited to the United States for sleeping with a 13 year old in the 70s, just won a court case apparently in his spare time. AFP says:
A Paris court convicted French daily Aujourd'hui en France, with its Paris edition Le Parisien, of breaching Polanski's privacy and the right to the use of his image, rights strictly protected by French law.
It ordered the newspaper to pay 3,000 euros (4,300 dollars) to him and his wife, the French actress Emmanuelle Seigner.
In other news, Charles Manson was a plagiarism case and Jeffrey Dahmer won a suit for slander. Someone called him a cannibal, and the proper term is "people eater." Actually, I think he's dead, so nevermind. Anyway, congratulations to Roman Polanski. Sleep with a 13 year old and get away with it for 35 years AND win a lawsuit! Wee!
