Personally, I hope Ireland wins. Prince is one of those people who just get under my skin. I mean, who renames themselves a symbol and then they need to be called the artist formerly known as Prince? Death would have been an acceptable punishment for that whole charade. Not to mention, when I see pictures of him I'm always tricked into thinking he is a lady.
And getting excited over Prince is just shameful, in so many ways.
Speaking of shame, Prince is currently the subject of a public shaming in Ireland. A judge released information about the singer's recent litigation.
High Court Justice Peter Kelly announced that Prince owes approximately $3 million in damages to various concert promoters. Prince backed out, last minute, on a 2008 in Dublin. This cost a ton of money for the promoters and Prince has been avoiding payments like a whore avoids herpes. In both situations - it inevitably happens.
The parties reached a settlement in Februrary of 2010, but Prince has yet to make a payment. So now the Irish-Catholics are doing what they do best - guilt and sweet, sweet anger.
