According to the Los Angeles Times, Angelina Jolie may be starring in a live action remake of a Disney classic, Sleeping Beauty. Angelina would take on the role of Maleficent, the wicked fairy godmother who teaches Sleeping Beauty a lesson or two about being a pretty little tramp.
Or rather, Maleficent cast a spell on Sleeping Beauty. That spell would caused her to prick her finger and sleep for 100 years, awaking only after getting kissed by a prince. Sleeping Beauty is a heartwarming tale of true love... and almost vampiric pedophilia, on Sleeping Beauty's part.
The best part about the film is that Tim Burton will be directing the project. His usually fare is mostly acid-trippy and dark - so that would make for a pretty wicked version of Sleeping Beauty. Currently, Jolie is filming The Tourist with a Tim Burton favorite, Johnny Depp. Could it be that Mr. Depp put Burton and Jolie in touch?
If so, Johnny did the world a huge favor. Angelina would make a hot Maleficent, even with those horns. ... Especially with those horns.
