Cher's "new" son appeared at court today in Santa Monica. There, a judge granted Chaz' petition to change his gender and name.
Chaz underwent an "irreversible" surgery (aka sex change) on September 23, 2009. Because of the completion of this gender reassignment surgery, he was able to legally change his gender.
The one thing that bothers me about this whole thing is the name change. Out of all of the possibly cool masculine names there are in the world he picked... Chaz?
