Hayden Panettiere in Japan

There is an arrest warrant out for Hayden Panettiere in Japan because of her efforts to save abused whales and dolphins just a few weeks ago. Specifically, Hayden traveled to Japan with the group Sea Shepherd to stop Japanese fishermen that had been abusing and killing the whales and dolphins for profit. People Magazine reports:

An arrest warrant has been issued in Japan for Hayden Panettiere, the Heroes star says in an interview. "I learned today that I have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan because of what I did for Save the Whales," Panettiere, 18, is quoted as telling E! News. Late last month, the actress-activist participated with others in a confrontation with fisherman during a dolphin hunt. Asked what the repercussions might be from the warrant, Panettiere said, "Potentially jail, but I doubt it. ... I guess they could come here and get us, but probably not."

Poor Hayden. Is this what the world has come to? Cute innocent little girls who try to save helpless, endangered dolphins have warrants put out for their arrest!? Only in this modern world could you try to do something nice and get slapped with a warrant because of it!

What are these people in the Japanese legal system thinking? Killing poor defenseless dolphins and whales = good. Cute little philanthropic girls = bad??? What!? I knew that the toilets flush backwards in Australia, but I had no idea that common values and morals were flipped upside down in Japan! This is outrageous! We'll keep you posted on any further outrage that shall ensue with respect to this matter.
