Britney Spears might have to go on probation because of an August hit and run incident in which she hit a parked 1999 Mercedes station wagon and fled the scene. Ironically, it's not the hit and run that could put her probation. Rather, it's the fact that the incident revealed that she had been driving without a valid California driver's license. Thus, she may face up to two years of probation. Us Magazine reports:
It is Britney's lawyer, Michael Flanagan, who thinks the system is being exceptionally hard on her. Us Magazine reports:
Probation is a bad thing. If you violate probation, you usually go to jail. I don't think they serve chalupas in jail. I think they serve some stuff that looks like a bunch of chalupas thrown into a blender and minced up together... but, chalupas themselves, not so much. In the end, I feel bad for the kids, though. I mean, if all of this actually goes down and they go up to Britney's house for a family dinner, they'll be stuck between a "parenting coach" and a parole officer. Ahh, if that doesn't say "one big happy family," I don't know what does. It's like one big white-trash fairy tale.
