Jennifer Love Hewitt Speaks Out About Body Weight!

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt's recent bikini pictures from last week brought some negative attention to her body image. She has spoken out about the recent negativity that has been circulating about the size of her somewhat larger-than-normal behind. Jennifer told People Magazine:

"Like all women out there should, I love my body," Hewitt, 28, wrote on her blog after photos of her in a bikini hit the Web. "I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family.""

She then explains that enough is enough when it comes to female body image and demands the public to accept the truth that a size 2 is not fat! People further reports:

Hewitt, who has modeled for Hanes, explains, "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image." She adds, "A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.""

Although I may have been a bit harsh on Jennifer when I saw those pictures of her bikini butt last week, I don't have anything against butts and boobs. In fact, I would hope that such entities could be considered allies of mine. Or, even as friends like in Anchorman when Ron Burgundy says in reference to Christina Applegate's butt: "I want to be friends with it." See, I know where Ron's coming from in that situation. Truth of the matter is, I'm fine with Jennifer's new behind... it was just shocking, that's all. All my life I had this image of Jennifer as this really skinny hot chick with surprisingly large boobs and I just kind of got used to it. Thus, it was a bit startling to see such a large, round orb emerging from the bottom of her back.

Nevertheless, I'm cool with what Jenn's saying, and I agree, a size 2 will indeed, never be fat. I just hope she's not one of those Hollywood hippocrites and immediately after releasing these statements she begins a diet of hard liquor and crystal meth because the pressure of a more perfect body image finally got to her. If it happened, I wouldn't blame her, I did the same thing in '96 when my publicist told me "I'm not fat, I just shouldn't look so "doughy." But hey, I guess only time will tell with Jenn. I wish her and her Scotsman fiance the best of luck.
