Katie Holmes doesn't understand that passing your kid off to a nanny or taking them out with you once a week doesn't make you a working mom. She appeared in the latest issue of Marie Claire where she talks about handling the day-to-day stress of being a "working mom." Sigh.
"As an actress who is also a mother, you don’t have the luxury of drama."
When it comes to being there for her daughter, she's always on the job. "My daughter was with me the other day at a work event and it was a long day," she says. "I took out some paper and markers that I had in my bag, and someone said to me, 'Oh, that is so cute,' and I looked at her and thought, No, this is not cute. This is what all mothers have to do."
Yes, because shoving a paper and pens at your daughter to shut her up is just SO HARD. I'm surprised that Katie Holmes was able to go through the rest of her day without crying. Thank God she handled that drama.
PS- tons of mothers have it far worse than you Katie. Shut up.
