In July of this year, Cpl. Kelsey de Santis posted a video on YouTube inviting Justin Timberlake to the Marine Corps Ball. That was cute, but what makes the story actually interesting is that in just a few days, Justin accepted ("if his schedule worked out").
The ball was Saturday night in Richmond, Virginia. And he went. And he blogged about how the experience was an "honor." Wow. Justin Timberlake is actually a good guy:
"I felt so proud to be there. I felt like I was getting a chance to be among my heroes. It's funny too because a lot of them are SO younger than me.
The evening wound down for me as, I had to catch a plane. But, I have to say that I had so much fun with Kelsey and her crew of friends. They were just really nice people... Classy Marines but, not without a great sense of humor. Real individuals but, not without a sense of community."
I'm deducting points for the extremely vague description of the Marine and her friends. (He basically said they were flesh-colored humans who had feelings and stuff.)
