I stumbled across these Rumer Willis pictures, and I have to be honest with you, I burst out laughing. She's a real "handsome" girl isn't she? That's not such a bad thing after all. Then again, I guess using the word "handsome" to describe a girl is never a good thing. In fact, I might need to go a bit tangential on you guys and drop a little story on you. Here it is: I once knew this man who had a wife. I would always see her walking around on my street wearing knee-length, wide bottom, khaki shorts and rocking some sort of dirty-blonde mushroom-style lesbian haircut. I think she had some sort of creepy little rose tattoo on the bottom portion of her left calf too. Anyway, she was a nice woman... talked a bit too much, but she wasn't too bad... and I would always think to myself, wow, now that's a handsome woman right there. Then one day, I was day-dreaming a bit, and I ran into her husband and he started small talk with me. Then, mid-conversation, I interjected with a brief: "You know, you've got a real handsome wife there, Frank." Needless to say, he took offense and hasn't spoken to me since.
As disappointing as that story may have been, I think that it lets you peak into my little mind and see why I was compelled to call Rumer "handsome." Here she is at the premiere of "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep." It's some movie about some little Scottish school-boy who finds an egg that later hatches and a little mysterious sea creature is born. And no, surprisingly Rumer doesn't play the lead role as the sea creature. I know! I was shocked too!
Rumer and Bruce Willis' ex-fiancee Brooke Burns at the aforementioned movie premiere:
