Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Terrell Owens, is not happy about Jessica Simpson's influence on Tony Romo after she may have contributed to Tony playing poorly and losing to the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday. The New York Post's Page Six reports:
You know, maybe T.O.'s got a point. The Cowboys are supposed to be Super Bowl contenders this year... just imagine the heartbreak Jessica will cause the whole team if she's there for that one! I mean, the team can recover from the loss last weekend... but Romo's really gotten toughen up here. He's playing great this year, then all of a sudden he's doing the damn thing with Jessica and all hell breaks lose. See, that's the difference between me and Tony. If I were with Jessica, I'd be so pumped, you'd see me lifting cars and throwing them around the streets for fun just because I was so happy. This Romo guy's gotta realize what he's got here and find the inner strength that has been instilled within him via Jessica's love. Once he does that, he'll be fine.
As for the Cowboys locker room... I don't think the guys are going to be too upset with Romo after these words by Owen's... in fact, rumor has it that one of the big, manly, bearded linemen said something like "Owens might have a point about Jessica, but T.O. can be such a DIVA sometimes." Okay, maybe that never happened... but it's funny to think about, yea!?
UPDATE: T.O. now plans to apologize to Jessica for his aforementioned negative statements about her, implying that he was just trying to be funny. People Magazine reports that T.O. said:
Ahh that's cute. Who knew big, bad, NFL football players could be so caring. Well, he's probably doing it for Romo... those too have a special relationship... after all, he is the "giver" to Owens' "receiver." ZING!
